We’re used to Hollywood actor Anne Hathaway serving up glamour – frequently courtesy of Valentino – on the red carpet. Earlier this month, during the press tour for WeCrashed – in which she plays WeWork co-founder, Rebekah Neumann – a glittering Valentino dress with fringing was her outfit of choice. Her off-duty style is just as appealing. Most recently, the actor was spotted holidaying in Rome, where she turned her attention to an increasingly popular denim staple: flared jeans.
The 39-year-old actor’s vacation outfit made quite the case for ’70s-style jeans. Rather than load up on accessories, the star of The Devil Wears Prada let her boot-skimming jeans soak up all the attention, and kept the rest of her look relaxed with a white T-shirt, smart blazer and black boots. To finish? Aviator sunglasses to block out the Italian sun, and a small handbag.
Maybe the A-lister was borrowing some style tips from her WeCrashed character? Last summer, while shooting the Apple TV+ show, Hathaway was pictured with her co-star Jared Leto (who plays her husband, Adam Neumann), looking like she’d just time-travelled back from the ’70s. Her look on set consisted of light-wash denim flares, a high-collared lace shirt, python boots and a boxy bag.
