Where To Buy Runway-Inspired Denim
Baggy jeans weren’t the only exciting denim trend to emerge at the spring/summer 2022 shows. Dark indigo jeans, skirts and jackets were seen at Bottega Veneta; slouchy boyfriend jeans emerged at Valentino; and at Missoni, hip-swivelling jeans were paired with über-cropped tops. Elsewhere, Loewe revealed a denim dress that was made for after-dark occasions, crafted from patchwork denim with a flared skirt and spaghetti straps.
Workwear-worthy denim was even spotted at Molly Goddard and Rejina Pyo. The former paired her signature tulle dresses with boyfriend jeans, while Pyo put her own strappy, cut-out spin on the beloved denim skirt.
Y2K-infused denim made headlines at Blumarine’s spring/summer 2022 showcase, where jeans were scattered with butterfly appliqués and worn with low-slung butterfly belts and tinted sunnies.
